Project Sustainability's Solar Schools initiative was undertaken based on the belief that solar installations at schools benefit both its students and the community at large. Not only is more carbon conscious power produced, but our children also begin to learn about the practical applications of renewable energy.
While the economics of installing solar energy on individual schools may be questionable, the dozens, if not hunderes of buildings in many school systems make reaching economies of scale achieveable. Project Sustainability's goal is to facilitate relationships between the schools, local capital resources, and the appropriate manufacturers/installers so as to make installation of solar facilities a revenue generator for the school. We are currently engaging schools in Colorado and the mountain west, but are available to travel if necessary.
If you are a school district, individual school, or an interested capital partner, please
